A Skid Loader Can Work in the Smallest Spaces
Skid steering is a unique function that allows each side of a piece of machinery to work independently. Using skid steering, the skid loader is able to turn within a pinpoint radius, giving it more maneuverability than almost any other piece of heavy machinery. In addition to being able to turn one side independently, these loaders are also able to perform remarkable tasks, allowing them to dig basements underneath an existing house and even act as an excavator, digging a hole from the inside.
A skid loader can literally build a small ramp out of an area to be excavated and begin digging the area while using the ramp to remove excess dirt. As the hole deepens, the ramp becomes steeper, allowing the skid loader to serve in the place of an excavator. In addition, the bucket on the loader can be replaced with any of a number of devices, from auger to a snow plow, stump remover, or even a wood chipper. The versatility of the machine makes the possibility of purchasing one secondhand a viable and wise choice for most builders, as they can be used in place of many machines in tight and cramped areas.
